    Default Buffering, impedance, pedals!! ARRRGGGHHH!

    Hi guys!

Just a quick question ref buffering. I have been playing for many years just plugging any old cable in any order just deciding the order on what sounds good. Now I am reading loads on buffering and you should do this, or that??!

Now I have decided at the moment on my pedal order as:

    Morley Bad Horsie
    Boss Tu 2
BYOC Armstrong Twin (for its compressor)
    TB 2 loop pedal
Loop 1 - Danelectro Chicken Salad (seems to suck a little tone inline)
Loop 2 - Bad Monkey - NYC BIg Muff Pi
BYOC Boost (Confidence Boost kit in a pedal)
    ISP Decimator

    In amp Loop:
    TC Nova Modulator
    Boss FS500 Volume Pedal
    Strymon El Capistan
Akai E2 Headrush (for its looper)

Now ...... Apart from mega hiss from shit power supply (gonna buy a good power supply next - probably gigrig), have I got these in the correct order - in regard to buffers? How would you change anything?

    Cheers,
    Jim

The TU2 has a perfectly decent buffer in it - you don't need anything more.

Should it come before or after the Wah?

What about the big muff? When the loop is on, it will be in the signal chain after the Wah, Tu2 and Bad Monkey. I read somewhere that it sounds better earlier in the chain?

In both cases try it and see. Some wahs sound different with a buffer before them, some don't. Similarly you might prefer the muff before a buffer or after, or it might make no difference to you.
