Default Does the PRS custom 22 use log vol and tone?

    Hi all,

Does the PRS Custom 22 use 500k log (audio) taper on the volume and 500k log on the tone or is it a linear/B type pot?

I am no expert, but I am going to say - yes. I've recently moded my strat with hummies and tried all linears. As for volume - no problems there. Does what it's supposed. But the tones do almost nothing till them down to 2. Not much control. So this weekend the logs are going back in like in the original. Therefore I must conclude that no sane person would put linears (at least for tone) in their guitar during manufacture. So, what have we learned? If your volume reacts in a sharp and abrupt manner - you've got linears. Smooth - logs. If your tone pots don't do much - linears. You are able to use them - logs. n'Joy!

PRS uses Log for both controls.

Linear can work well for volume though, depending on the type of taper you want.

Brilliant, thanks for the info guys!

Ill post a build typr thread as i go if you guys are interested, picked up a cheap Greg Bennet (read: Samick) that i want to run Dragon 2's and the PRS rotary ICBM supplied me, just in process of getting the rest of the bits and pieces.

Looks like the body is gonna need some routing to get the controls in mind
