I can't be the only one thinking that's dickish recklessness of the highest order can I? You're off the road. So off the course. The course is the bit where it's safe (ish ) to drive hell for leather and be fairly sure of not killing someone.

It seems to happen a lot in rally driving nowadays. These cars go so fast and the people who drive them are so hell bent on winning, they disregard everybody else's safety just to make up on lost ground because of the stupid mistakes they made on the stage.

Referring back to the comment of "i was expecting a much larger open space"...you missed a fucking road whilst ploughing through the local's livelihood, then smashed into an electricity pole, felling it and nearly crushing/electrocuting the spectators.

Maybe i sound old and bitter...but couldn't this be deemed "bad sportsmanship?"...i don't see wayne rooney belting a ball into the nearest child's face in the hope that it bounces off and scores a goal....

Probably only because he hasn't thought of it yet, in fairness.

well unless the kiddy is standing on the pitch, it would be out of play, and even Rooney would know that,

i would call the thing he hit a "telegraph pole" not a "pylon" - to me a "pylon" is a big metal thing and it would have been much cooler if he had knocked one down - i dont know if i just dont know the names for things properly

Pedant time: OED definition - a pylon is a pole or tower like structure for carrying electricity .. a telegraph pole carries telephone wires ....
