    Default Ready, Skreddy, Go!

    Hi

I have seen/heard a great sounding OD/Distortion pedal, the Skreddy Screwdriver. It's supposedly very versatile.

I want a good Distortion pedal for rich, singing, harmonic lead solos. I basically want every OD on the market, but hey, don't we all. I've considered the med OD + Amps gain like an OCD etc, I cannot make up my mind.

Anyone have one of these?Do you use a Clean Boost for volume lift after it? What amp do you run it through? Does it sound similar to the Pinnacle?

Would love to hear your opinions.

    Thanks

    Jon.

Screwdriver is supposed to excel with single coils, but not so much with humbuckers from what I hear. So it depends what type of guitar you mostly use. It can get a hairy/fuzzy if that's what you're looking for. Skreddy Lunar Module is the next step up in gain/fuzz.

I really like Wampler Ecstasy (now re-named Euphoria) for what you're decribing. It can do clean boost as well as dumble-style drive and fuzzy OD (depending on clipping setting used). It has very powerful tone controls which really helps it blend in with different guitars and amps, but overall it's quite neutral in tone, i.e. no mid-hump a la tubescreamer.
