Default Heavy relic? Or pure and utter vandalism?

Let me introduce you all to another flame-war:-

    Sorry, but this is crap!

I accept (as Frankus will, no doubt, remind us all) that the "relic" option is nothing more than a choice of finish; and I am also prepared to accept that there are true artists out there who can produce "relics" that are more than passable. But this is nothing more than pure vandalism. Gleaming chrome hardware, and a body that has been set upon by no one other than a kak-handed thug.

    Let the war begin...

Thuggish, ham-fisted and lazy relic, rather than heavy relic.

    Doesn't appeal to me.

It's like these people don't realise it's even meant to look like playing wear.

Although I suppose it does become more of a "finish option" as a lot of dodgy relics are just randomly distressed.

No, I'd probably point out some special people like coming here provoke someone else into making them feel angy - relics is just an easy and on-topic subject.

A shit guitar called a relic by a chancer on eBay is only the same thing as an MJT or Custom in the eyes of a moron... I'm moving on

    Poor job.
Would look better if it had been set on fire.

Just awful. However, whenever i see something like this I have visions of someone having a mostly pristine guitar that they want to sell but that also has some horrible and obvious scratches in the paintwork/ was chewed by the dog. Instead of accepting less money for it, they decide to relic it such that the whole guitar looks more worn. That way they can sell an "authentic roadworn guitar with mojo" rather than a newish guitar with an awful gouge taken out of it.

Looks awful of course but it is still a finish option.

    A crap option maybe....
    Cheers,
    Neil
