Default how to change the bridge inserts

iv just got a bridge and saddle for a csl les paul copy guitar i got of ebay.....it had no bridge p/ups heads ect ...just the body, so i got a saddle and bridge but the machined screws that hold the bridge and saddle are the wrong thread....i was wanting to take the inserts out and fit the ones supplied with the bridge and saddle.....so the question is , how do i get these out of the guitar body..?

Find a screw thats the right thread and drop something like a small nut in the insert to screw down on. When you screw the screw in it should lift the bushing out unless s its glued in. Don't force it if it is glued in it you will crack the wood try and find a bridge with the right threads

dont try it on thin guitars and dont ever force it as you can do more damage - but its always the first method i try

if its stubborn, but i think it will move, then it gets heated up a bit with a soldering iron

if its till not moving then try finding a bolt with the correct thread so you can do this (with a felt washer to protect the finish)
