Wireless System

Apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forum

I was given over the weekend a Audio Technica ATW-701 wireless system. It's not got the guitar jack lead/adapter however I'm fairly sure i can get one of those.

Having never used a wireless system before i've no idea what to expect.

Will the system suck lots of tone out of the guitar's signal?

i gig most weekends and the idea of a wireless system is certainly appealing, but only if it doesn't make my otherwise great (in my opinion) tone disappear.

no, but it may soon be unusable if it isnt digital and falls within the bands being sold off for b/band
