My First DIY Neck Repair pics
As this is a keeper, I though Id have a bash at doing it myself. Went to toolstation this morning for some low viscosity superglue, With the aid of a cotton bud stick cut int a sharp point applied the glue, scraped off the excess with a razor blade, left it a few hours, bit of wet n dry and then applied the paint, Not perfect by any means, resigned myself to the fact that im never going to match the mirror like factory finish (although it looks much worse in the pic).
Not bad for an outlay of about a fiver.

And a more lifelike one with dry paint and the flash disabled, all in all im very happy with it. Not perfect but hey ho! The crack is completely invisible, thats the main thing.

Bloody hell, that's a superb job! If ever something like this happened to one of mine I'd have some confidence towards giving it a go now. Good work mate
Looks great and super job with the masking!
If you let the paint harden for a couple of weeks then take t-cut to it, it'll smooth out and shine up that overspray. Just don't work it in too hard!

As ESChap said, let it fully harden then T-Cut it, and it will be all but invisible.

That is a very good job indeed.
You should be chuffed.
For anyone else looking into such repairs, look up images of the necks on repaired Gibsons (or just covering flaws) with 'stingers'. Some of them look cool as all heck and leave the guitar very playable.
Not that that repair is not very nicely executed. Just a bit of elbow grease when the finish hardens. Well done.
