I guess that vocal similarity makes it easier to do the GnR stuff live but it also makes the Slash line up very much a GnR Part II rather than having a more distinct identity.

This is what I felt tbh. IMHO, VR was pretty much an evolution from Gn'R, but this seems like it's riding on the Gn'R vibe particularly with Axl out and about.

Waited in the mud and rain to watch Slash at download... after half the set I realised I'd seen everything he was going to offer and went for a hog roast. Love Myles Kennedy in Mayfield Four and Alter Bridge, but there are only a few tunes I can get into that he does with Slash. That Fergie/Slash video however...

This was a disgusting disrespectful thing to do. Fans had queued up for hours for the meet and greet and slash left straight after the incident. THis 'joker' ruined the experience for many fans for a cheap laugh. I stopped watching Soccer AM after it.

I didn't know about this. Slash should've seen it for what it was though, maybe cooled off for a bit then returned. It's a good job Tubes decided to rhyme his name rather than taking things more literally.
