    Default Jazzmaster help needed

    Hello all,

Can you help me at all? I have some serious GAS related issues for a Fender Jazzmaster in Sherwood Green. I can't seem to find a new one any where.

Would any of you wise fellas know where I can find one? I dont even mind if its used as long as the condition is good.

    Thanks in Advance

    Jack

MJT would do you one in that colour. Custom build is probably the easiest way to get one. I can't remember ever seeing a Fender one in Sherwood in real life

I was thinking about building one with an ash body but I would ideally like to treat myself to a proper Fender

I will look at MJT though, cheers for the suggestion.

Woul have to be lucky and find one popping up. I don't recall any Fender Vintage reissues in the last few years being offered in sherwood green (might be wrong), but there have been some japanese ones, but they are domestic sale only (in that colour) and as such quite rare. First one I've seen was only a month ago on ebay. It was very nice too.

You could try Ishibashi for a japanese one. They are happy to export. But like sais above, a nice MJT body would be great. You'd be able to find a AVRI neck, hardware and electronics. That would be a very nice guitar indeed.

I usually always do, and to be fair I would rather have ash/swamp ash over alder.

But in this case I would like the full Fender shooting match with headstock logo (and matching colour) etc

When the AVRI's came out in 1999 Sherwood was offered for about a year. So they're pretty uncommon to find. I don't think the thin skins were even offered in it.

You might be lucky to find a MIJ in that colour... but as others have said it's going to be easier just to get a a custom body or buy an AVRI and have it refinished.
