    Default New Rolling Stones song

    It's actually pretty good.

    It is.

Chris Evans played it twice in a row this morning, which was great as I wasn't sure for the first half of the first play.

I wonder if I should start saving for the tour (last saw them on the Voodoo Lounge tour in Sheffield)

There are vowels in Jagger's proununciation of "doom" that I never even realised existed...

Pretty good, actually. I prefer it when they rock it up rather than the dreary, unconvincing ballads and awful "disco" or whatever the kids call it these days.

Drums sound odd..almost programmed in parts...

Needs a roaring guitar solo, mind. Neil Young at his most fuzz-drenched would sound great on this.

EDIT: Or Billy Gibbons at his....erm...most fuzz-drenched.

So what were getting at is...it needs some fuzz

I've yet to listen to it and i'm a little excited, my fave track is beast of burdon but I get the impression it's quite removed from that.

Yeh, a fair bit. I'd say a cross of Gimme Shelter with vocal style of Street Fighting Man

Not had a chance to listen yet, but this is high praise indeed.

It is, but I wouldn't have picked those tracks myself as reference points.

It's a good up-tempo strutting rocker. Seems based on a variation of the old muddy waters riff for verses, so no radical change of direction from the guys.

It has quite a bit of energy about it which is good as a lead-in single to the next album/hits package/tour

Aww I didn't like it, seemed nearly forgettable - like it should lead into something more interesting.

I like it - it's not going to change the world, and is certainly no "Gimme Shelter", but it's certainly worth a listen.

    Is this available for downloading?

I heard it in the background at work today. It's probably not destined to be up there with the classic stones songs, but it's pretty good and worthy of a decent bit of airplay on Radio 2 and Planet Rock and the likes.
