Default WTF is it with Americans and playing in churches

I have lost count of the number of supposedly rock mad guitar wielders on many forums who then say - 'this is the pedalboard I use in church'. Or 'this is my worship rig'....... WTF! I read recently of some Yank dude who was deciding between getting a Dual Rec or a JVm for playing in church!!!! Haha. WTF!!!

I wish we could have rock bands playing in churches here - might make me religious. Actually I cannot see the link between loud rock music and playing in church. It makes me laugh everytime I see this - Spams are mental!

I think you underestimate the size of some American churches and the type of worship they get into

And bands like POD! I cannot take it serious when I hear metal music with religious words about love and peace and goodness to all men! Hehe

and what about the 'What overdrive is best for worship?' threads?

    Hello?
God doesn't give a fuck if you are using symmetrical or asymmetrical clipping.
There is no overdrive/delay/phaser/whatever that is inherently better for whore-ship, you fucking loon.

We need a God pedal, which converts everyone on a push! If it is has momentary switch you can really fuck with people's minds!

You know New York on the East, and LA on the West right ? Well the big bit in between is nearly 100% God-fearing country folks - a lot of churches.

Actually, some churches here do have parishioner formed rock bands to lead the community singing. These are almost always the newer trendy churches in modern buildings and with a younger clientele than the handful of pensioners in a gloomy, draughty old traditional type church.

I sold an amp to a young lad that wanted it to play in church and community settings ... it was an Andy Dokken RAT too.
