Saw Celebration Day Last Night....
Wow. Saw it in a huge cinema (Vue at Cheshire Oaks) and it was fantastic. I grinned for 2 hours. There were a few weak moments though, SIBLY was Ill whisper.....awful. Its the song I wanted note for note, and its was out of tune, unidentifiable at some points and just a bit cringy. Whole lotta love the same, but still a masterclass in performance.
I cant see myself watching the DVD as much as TSRTS, but the playing was tighter, and Jason Bonham was ace.
The fact this was a one off, is astounding. It was like they had been playing every night for a few years!
Excellent. I was busy last night, and I also can't make any of the Sunday showings...so I'll just have to wait for the DVD.
It's going to make me want to get a Sunburst Les Paul isn't it?
It was on the biggest cinema screen Ive ever seen, so after seeing bursts close up 100' across.....yes.
