    Default Albert King Recommendations

I've recently got King of the Blues Guitar by Albert King and am loving it, has anyone get any recommendations for other quality Albert King records? Thanks in advance.

Born Under a Bad Sign would be the obvious one ( King's debut at Stax).

Lot of people like Live Wire/ Blues Power which is good if you like the extended soloing type stuff.

The funkier 1970's stuff sounds, to me, horribly dated now and by the 1980's he was sounding tired.

There are a couple of live in San Fransisco albums released posthumously that are worth looking at, although a bit patchy they give a broader picture than Live Wire.

Lot of love for the recordings with Stevie Ray Vaughan, although again of the 'looser' Albert whereas I guess I prefer to hear him more within the context of a strong band and arrangement. A unique guitarist but, ultimately, a bit limited when left to his own indulgences and quite often just bloody out of tune at times.

KOTBG is a compilation of the Stax era and it has Born under a Bad Sign on it . I like that combination of Stax R&B/Soul and Albert's blues guitar, but kept concise and not 25 minute solos. I'll check out Live Wire and some more 60's stuff - Thanks for the recommendation.
