I've set up facebook, myspace and youtube accounts for the band.
    Please visit and say hi!
They are very much 'work in progress' ... I'm not at all familiar with setting up and maintaining a Facebook or MySpace page ... so any pointers / advice would be good.

It's going great ... we've only had the drummer in situ for two rehearsals ... the first thing he did after getting on-baoard was get us the gig at the Black Lion.

The Zoom G3 is a steep learning curve .. it's going great ...
for example ... going from acoustic sim on the main verse riff to overdriven lead for the solo in Wanted Dead Or Alive with one toe-tap ... ace!

Strewth, Rockliffe Hall has changed a fair bit since I was last there – and even more since I was first there, running around the grounds like a lunatic with other boy scouts. We met there for years. The Order of St. John of God still ran it then. From monks to Premiership ruffians to the nouveau riche....

    UPDATE

last weekend's gig (fundraiser for Butterwick Children's Hospice on the same weekend as Children In Need raised over £1650)

We were the 2nd band on ... after an acoustic set by The New Age Jam ... tribute act to ... well, The Jam.

The stage was pretty high, the sound system and lights were ace, the room was big and there were maybe 150 people there when we played sometime about 5-6pm.

    We were not fllawless.
    Not at all.
I made my own little fumbles and errors in the very first song!
But, noone really noticed or cared too much I think.
There were quite a lot of children there and they were dancing and running about.
As we played on some adults got up to dance - not too many ... from the rest of the room the applause was good.
It was quite a buzz getting through it all and it went pretty fast.
I did try to enjoy each moment.

Also - at our last rehearsal, we invited and agent / promoter who liked what he saw and took us on ... so hopefully many more gigs to come ... probably in the new year.

Some videos ... I have picked songs that did not get recorded at the previous gig.

    Human

    Dakota

    Beautiful Day

    Town Called Malice

Have You Ever Fallen In Love (cuts off part way through due to battery power running out in the camera)

These are unlisted videos so can only be viewed if you know the link.
I will work on editing a 'highlights' video to make public - picking out songs not in the previous best of video.

If you fluff something just carry on, certainly don't all start glaring at each other...just carry on and the moment will pass without anyone really noticing.

Sure I've told this story before but years ago the drummer of the band I was in went to see Paul Mccartney, his idol. He came back and said the Macca completely screwed up the start of Blackbird, told a joke and started again. After that our drummer said he wouldn't ever feel so bad about making mistakes live again.
