    Its pretty ok sounding, although individually the effects are not best in their class. I'm not a fan of Tubescreamers anyway. As a simple live box for those who prefer analogue effects to digital, and if those effects + a delay and/or something in the loop were all you needed, it would be pretty cool - maybe as an all-in-one lead pedal that you can turn on and off. Mines 110v, which lessens the convenience factor. It's "curiosity corner", realistically.

    It's a pity as I quite like the idea of just something with a compressor and a couple of overdrive/boost variations.

    I think that SlideJules used to use a Carl Martin multi-fx but I don't think he's posted on the new site yet. (Probably busy with stupid stuff like actually playing gigs and suchlike!)

    Anyway, whenever he posted samples of his live sound it was always stunningly good. If it's good enough for him etc.
    I'd heard the Quattro tag, but didnt know anything about it. *blush* Must be one I missed out on, lol!

    What about this thing;

    Looks a similar concept to the Boss ME-5...anyone tried one?

    Actually - don't think this is what I want...it doesn't seem possible to separate the effects from the drive.

    There were at least one Aria unit of this description mid 80s too.This was back when Aria effects were made in Japan and were decent. Pretty good and not popular, so rarely go for silly money. You don't see them often though.

    80s Japanese Aria effects are generally very under-rated things.

    The Holystain is pretty basic. Only 2 effects at a time.

    Yes, and I don't really need any drive effects. I really just want something I can stick in the fx loop that will do the time-based and modulation stuff - delay, chorus, tremolo, maybe flange. If it had a tuner, that would be cool (would a tuner work in the fx loop?).

    I guess something like THIS, but not shit would do.
