Default suggestions for acoustic instrumental to learn - kinda intermediate sort of level

    Okey dokey

just finished learning Angi by Davey Graham although I'm playing the bert jansch version - not up to full tempo yet but can play the whole thing through without errors and it sounds nicely musical. I'tll speed up over the next few weeks quite nicely.

looking for suggestions of something to learn next please. Black mountain side by jimmy page maybe but that is because I don't have many ideas.

    suggestions please!

    thanks

    Nick

and I cannot sing. period. consistently flat and make a noise like a tuneless cow in pain. so no vocals.

@monquixote - i'd need to work hard on my flamenco before attempting any gabriela!

@lixarto - i'm leaving classical to one side at the mo - i'm working hard at being a good band person on the electric and don't have time to properly do classical - i've already know a few of the classical "repertoire" so I'm looking for somthing more folky/bluesy/raggy
@spider and Bertie - I'll have a listen to those on U tube

the only other that i'm thinking of is ain't misbehaving which is a couple of minutes worth of jazzy diminished and other bonkers chords; but with a useful tutorial on u-tube

    cheers

try and find the Ralph McTell version or Jorma Kaukonen's - they're more up-beat rag-ish. The 'original' Rev Gary D is a bit 'slow' very much bluesy

(or mine of course ) LOL

nice playing bertie - couldn't help but google it after your post. quite a clean clear sound - i guess you are using a thumb pick.. tried one again last night but takes me back to beginner level playing - after a few years of classical training it just feels sooo wrong.

crikey, I can only assume you found my old web-page from 101 years ago - no thumb pick on those ........ all played on my old Washburn D26s dread, in Eb (with capo) nails only - and must be..........15 years old.........but I did use a pic on the Taylor clips
