Default acoustic archtop question..trapeze v fixed bridge

I' ve been looking at archtops recently. The vast majority have floating bridges with a trapeze of some sort, some have fixed bridges.
I haven't been able to play one with a fixed bridge but it occurs to me that they must be constructed differently or have a different bracing system.
Can anyone explain the pros & cons of fixed bridge v trapeze, does a fixed bridge lose that archtop zing?

Fixed bridge means that it is more likely to be a semi-acoustic with a centre block.

If it doesn't have a trapeze, it must at least have a block under the bridge (like a PRS Archtop) and so isn't a real acoustic... either that, or it's a combination of flat-top design and bracing with an arched top and f-holes, possibly - in which case it would probably be a wooden 'acoustic' bridge. I'm pretty sure I've sen one like that, but I can't remember what brand.
