three years in your set list ... change it ffs ... not for the wanting of not being able to play it ... but for the fact it must be so stale and dull by now ... and it ain't a great song to start with

You've obviously never played it in a packed pub on a Friday night. ALWAYS the highlight of a set in my experience. I'd much rather play popular stuff that gets a room jumping than songs I love that the crowd don't.

Agreed : it's up there with Sex on fire, Dekota, Valerie etc. Instant crowd pleaser, people go nuts for it

Could be- I swap first and second fingers for the third phrase where you need to use the low E string. I'm not sure it's possible without doing that, with my fingers at least!

Thought this was aimed at me when I saw it!

Agreed it is a pain to play at first. It is in Eb tuning (its one of the first songs Dave and Brandon wrote together apparently, and I think he tuned to Eb as Brandon was playing a lot of black notes on the keys). Playing it on an Explorer is also a damn sight easier than on a Strat too.

I personally found the next section tricky to play. I know it can be played in an open position (based around Bm-A-G) but I play it around the 7th fret and when I get to the 'G' I end up in a stretch that encompasses the 3rd fret on the 6th string, open 4th string, 7th fret on the 3rd string, 5th fret on the 2nd string and an open 1st string! It does sound good though rather than picking the 1st string twice!

One thing I've learned being in a Killers tribute, Dave has the hands of a tarantula at times......

    Cheers

    Paul

P.S. the same chord shape is also found in Miss Atomic Bomb off the new album too....
