    Then, sir, I would suggest that your experience of unreasonable asshats is more limited than my own!

    Just had a complaint to the MD from a customer because I offered (on Monday) to go in for a free site survey on Wednesday to have a look at a couple of projectors that may be due for replacement - apparently this was "an insultingly short amount of notice to give".

    Oh, and another complaint two weeks ago - customer emailed at 9pm on a Friday, and then sent the MD a complaint at 9.15pm because I hadn't replied. She even knew I was on holiday that week, not to mention that it was three and a half hours after I finish work...

    How does the MD reply? Does he back you or blame you?

    I'd find it hard to stay calm! You have the patience of a saint!
