Just purchased this little fella:





Ortega Zebrawood Concert Uke

Despite looking super awesome it was surprisingly affordable.

Both I and the Mrs wanted to learn to have something to serenade the impending sprog. The baby chose it as it started kicking like mad when the wife played that one.

I've only had a few hours to play it, but it really is excellent fun.

Yeah they are surprisingly easy to play.

The intervals are the same as the thinnest 4 strings of a guitar except what would be the D string is an octave up so it's kind of like playing in Nashville tuning with a capo on the 5th fret if that makes sense.

I'm learning Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head, Star Wars Cantina Band, Tamacun and the Mario Theme at the moment

If you haven't seen this yet you('ve probably been living under a rock for the last few years ) should... amazing, inspirational and something to aspire to - I doubt I'll ever be that good at it though.
