    Italy had Eko guitars. As well as their own branded guitars, they made electric guitars for several British brands during the 60s/70s, the most notable being Vox. I think the brand has recently been resurrected for a range of acoustic guitars

    Poland - those old enough to remember the unplayable Communist horrors of the 80s will baulk, but recently builders like Mayones and Ran have come into their own... Mayones have been going for thirty years but they only started making properly high-end stuff recently. Here are some:
