Default David Mead: 'Workout' app now on Android

    Hi All

Apologies for another thread on this subject but several people here asked me to let them know when my 'Guitar Gym' phone app was available over at Google Play and I thought that this was the best way to go about doing so!

Here's a link to the Android version: 'Guitar Gym'

    Thanks

I do have a couple of observations about the app (iOS version) that I fed back but didn't hear anything about - wonder if others think them valid comments:

On my iPhone the screen dims toward the end of the exercise - could it be made to remain lit?

A couple of times I've finished an exercise, get the 'you completed the exercise' message, hit next and them immediately get another 'you completed the exercise' and we've skipped the one in the middle.

Is it possible to have the exercise play out loud so you can hear how it is meant to be played (and get an idea if that tempo is suitable) without actually launching the timer? A kind of 'preview at this tempo' ?

Seconded. I find that I tend to start the exercise at the moment, but not start playing until the second or third run through to get the fingering and tempo in my head. At the moment I just keep going for another couple of run throughs after the timer has finished, but it would be a lot more polished if you could have a demo run through before the timer starts.

I got your observations and thought I had sent you a reply - apologies if you didn't get it. All these suggestions have been added to our todo list.
