Ok so as promised some feedback. The interface is great and the exercises are definitely up to the high standard in the books but there's definitely some issues with the app.

1.) And by far the most annoying is the click timing drifts all over the place. (Im pretty sure it's not me because if you start a 2min excercise at 60bpm the phone screen set to sleep at 2mins shouldnt leave 10 seconds still on the clock.)
2.) The app needs to request the permissions for "force the phone not to sleep" because on default android configuration you get cut off in the middle of the excercise and i dont really want to up my sleep time for a single app because it would kill my battery for normal phone use.

Those are the 2 biggies. There's also a couple of enhancements that I think would make it much more practical to use.
1.) 2 bar count in before start of exercise
2.) Ability to switch key of the exercises, I don't keep any guitars in E standard so I need to either retune or turn off the accompanying guide (I chose the latter). Adding the ability to have the accompaniment play in D# standard (or other variations would be extremely useful).

Finally one niggle is that on my phone the box you get when you complete an exercise is garbled. This is really a nitpick as it doesn't affect the experience in any way.

So right now I don't know if I'll persist with the drift and screen issues, Ill have a go over a few days but the click innacuracy is really annoying and probably defeats the point of the practice.

If you could fix the 2 major points you'd have a really top class app here.

It's a great app, very useful. I'm a big fan of 5 minute guitar workout so an app version is perfect for me.

I also have the issue that the click seems to wander a bit and also that the audio seems to glitch out a little bit on higher BPMS.
I'm using a Galaxy S running ICS if that helps.

What type of phone are you using? We tested on a number of Android phones (including a first generation HTC Desire which is now quite 'old') and the metronome seemed to perform ok. I'll see if I can get hold of a similar model to yours to track down the problem.

I'll add everything else you suggested to our todo list.

Sounds great, I'm running on a HTC One X. Trying it again I think the problem happens at the beginning of a bar where you get slight delay and it doesn't seem to happen every bar. Not sure if that will help tracking things down.

Been using it more so a few more comments.

The screenlock thing is annoying if you have your screenlock set to less than 5 minutes.
As others have said a lead in would be useful and if you could preview without starting the timer it would help with choosing the right BPM.

I can't add anything new but want to add a +1 for the screenlock problem and the gibberish message after the exercises. I'm using it on both an HTC sensation and a Nexus 7 for what it's worth.

We've uploaded a new version (1.2) that stops the app going to sleep during a workout. We are also using an updated version of the audio engine which may improve things a little bit.

I can't see the garbled completed message on any of the phones we are using to test with. Is there any chance someone could send me/post a screenshot of the problem so that we can investigate further?

I had to refund my purchase unfortunately as the volume was really low And I couldn't turn it up using the toggle buttons on the side of my phone - sgs2

an in app volume would be good - but if you turn the volume of the media device up prior to starting the app it also turns up the volume of the tabs.
