    Sadly, the video camera was turned off and so we didn't get recordings of the other songs that we did get to perform on the night.

    Good performance for a first gig.

    Sadly you often get the continual "turn it down!" from the landlord (Usually followed by the "Can't hear the vocals" as the band are now drowned out by the unamplified drum kit).

    My top tips are:
    Hold the level really low while you soundcheck as it always sounds louder while the room is empty and then nudge it once a few people are in.
    Always play music through the PA before you soundcheck and before you go on so the audience are acclimatised to the sound level. It's usually the shock of the start of the first song that makes people decide you are "too loud" and from then on they usually aren't happy until you've stopped.

    Had a quick listen in between things and it sounds like youve got a good singer (amongst other things!) which is the most important thing!
