    I think the influence and relevance of the Biebers and the Cowells and the rest of the whiny women in the music industry is much more frightening.

    My experience is that the black metal scene is pretty fragmented. There are the isolationist types (Xasthur Judas Iscariot, Striborg types that don't really get like socialising) but then there are also a fair amount of pretty well grounded people who are pretty social. The notion of spotty virgins would suggest someone is not really up to speed with a scene that is far bigger in Europe than here.

    Jon from Dissection was a bit intense from what I remember. Watain can be a bit funny too by all accounts.


    The Housemartins would be pretty high on any serious list of scary bands,.

    In what sense? I know Paul Heaton used to have "connections" with Sheffield United's firm. Were the others a bit naughty as well?

    While we're on the subject, I call The Cockney rejects - you really wouldn't want to piss them off.
