    Default Parlour for £500-£600??

Asking on behalf of a non-forumite.

He's had a few large body but cheap acoustic guitars but is looking for something more suitable for just finger picking work. He's got £500-£600 to spend for something halfway decent. Does not need to be an electro as he's got a few pickups already.

    Any suggestions?
Sibella: He says he wants to go to Europe to expand his mind.Louis: He certainly has room to do so.

My first port of call for sub-£1k (>£any?!) acoustics will be Recording King now, great timbers, build quality, specs, and tone. Check out Thomann for the best prices, I've not been disappointed by one yet and played almost the entire current range (just none of the Adirondack ones ) in Westside distr on Denmark St.

    and a horrid V profile neck !!!

thats the thing with small bodied's - the neck shapes really can vary a lot, and can lean to the V, which is a very subjective taste IMHO.

Really is no good recommending anything specific TBH. He really needs to get out there and play em, a trip to a decent shop would be a better piece of advice that any specific guitar

Er, you say horrid, I say perfect!

Besides, the neck profiles are listed on the site! Not all of the models have V's, it's about a 50:50 split between V's and C's
