Default Guthrie's 'Waves' in GT this month

Anyone else having a serious go at this? First play-through today, at 20 bpm - quarter speed! Up a notch on the metronome every other day, and in two months I'll be at full speed. I'll see how close I get before my coordination collapses: I predict 3/4 speed.

Great to have the original track on the CD - I've played my GT cd for the first time in 3 years!

The whole of this month's issue looks interesting. It makes a change from one useable article per month.

One week down, up to 24bpm (full speed is 78bpm) and just starting to trip up over the fastest triplet 32nd-note sections. There are a couple of typos - a missing '6' on the Gstring in the 6th note of the tab for bar 22/ 26, and the second chord of bar 72 should be C#m7 not Cm7. Anyone else out there practising this track or did Guthrie transcribe it for my benefit alone?

I'm hopefully buying the mag soon, saw the tab for Waves and want to have a go!
My name is Connor and I have a GAS problem.

I also have some videos of myself playing guitar. Here they are.

    Hi guys

I'm gonna have a crack at it in the next few weeks once I finish 'Sugarfoot Rag' by John 5!

    Cheers

I might give it a go, my subs copy always takes a while longer because it has to go through the censors and a neutral country.... ;-)

I can play the main theme at full speed and that's about it. Other than that I've just gone through and picked out the odd few licks to mess about with.

Just got it today, having a go at it. Main theme is not too difficult but I'll be struggling with parts of it for sure!
Light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until they make a noise.

Passed the half-speed mark this week. Have found it necessary to draw vertical lines through the tab in the fastest passages to divide the notes into groups of 5 or 6.
