    Default Hammertone guitars? Info...

    Hi all,

I'm looking for some info if possible on Hammertone guitars. I can't seem to find any website online with a similar model to what I an curious about.

Guy in a Canadian band called Big Wreck plays one.

It's in this video, and it appears to be a doubleneck mando/guitar. But I don't think the mando part is mando tuning, as it's a 12 string as well. Maybe it's a mando for "guitar players". It features a good bit around the 3 min mark, and the 5 min mark on the fade out.

Anyhow, I would love to find out some more about this model.... Any info would be great. Cheers. Baz

Having cast about the net ... about all I can find is that Hammertone instruments are built in George Furlanetto’s workshop in Hamilton, Ontario (hence Hammertone). About the only link i can find is F Bass ... he appears to just be making basses now http://www.fbass.com/about/george

i would guess the top neck is an octave-12 guitar - vox used to make them and called them mando-guitars. but it is guitar tuning - unless your ry cooder
