    Default FS: Fender Blues Junior Texas Red - Boxed with extras

    Selling my Blues Junior - it's the Texas Red version which is fitted with a Celestion Vintage 30. I also have a Silvertone padded cover and Fender footswitch which I'll include. The amp has been fitted with tilt back legs which really help direct the sound. Got the box and manual too.

    The amp benefits from two of Bill M's mods -

    the twin stack mod, which allows you to totally remove the mids from the mix. With the tone, bass and mid at 1 the amp is silent. You can also boost the bass without any mid or treble which sounds fantastic with higher gain sounds;

    and the other mod is that the Volume pot has been replaced with an audio taper pot - as standard it is almost impossible to use at lower levels - one is off and two is too loud! The volume increase which was previously experienced ,moving from 1 to 2 is now spread over 1 to 4.5 making it MUCH more useable at home. The rest of the range stays the same - max volume is unchanged.

    Not looking for trades - would like £350 collected, willing to post at cost.

    Bump for an amazing valve amp that sounds great and can be easily used at home.

    I have a blues Junior that i got fully rat modded, and my tone controls now scoop the level of volume as well, it's how the old fender amps work, if you have the treble on 10, the amp is way louder than if it were on 3, before it was either on or off, the modded way is much better, because you have more control of your tone,

    Lovely. If only I had room. Is that by any chance a Blueridge gospel guitar hanging up on the wall in the background?

    Yes it changes the tone stack to work in a similar way to a Fender Twin. A massive improvement by such a simple mod - only involves soldering a jumper over two of the mid pots lugs. Details are here - http://billmaudio.com/wp/?page_id=58

    Yes, have to say I thought this might sell a bit easier that it seems to be. I'm not any desperated rush to get rid though - I dusted it off to play in stereo with my Princeton Reverb through a Flashback X4 delay last night. Sounded lush!! And yes, got the Blueridge as part of a trade off someone on here, can't remember who I'm afraid. The Jesus guitar I normally call it. Praise the Lord!
