    I'd have to check, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's a "fair" price. It's the same story with anything like this - if you've got an otherwise all-original 50s or 60s Strat with the wrong saddles, these could make that sort of difference to the value. Stupid but true.

    I'm with ICBM here, those saddles could be a damn good investment to someone returning a non original 50s (or even early 60s) strat back to life. An original 50s strat with the incorrect saddles will lose more than £500 over a 100% original strat.

    In isolation these items always seem comically overpriced, but in reality they can increase the value by a lot more.

    As has been said on here countless times, and also quite recently IIRC (but the same old people just dont seem to listen ) - as ICBM and Bog have said, its not the worth of the individual part, but about the value it can add to an existing vintage guitar to a collector....

    I agree with ICBM & others. PAFs change hands for astounding prices in the the States, but if your otherwise all original vintage Les Paul is missing one, well - cheap at the price...
