    It's not a definitive list.

the list also misses off Colin Keefe.

Played one of his mandolins and it was superb.

Nowhere near as many as deserve to, based on the quality of their work.

And those that are making a living, will be barely making a living ... Not living in luxury.

If only the guitar buying public was less hung up on the name on the headstock, and took the time to understand a little more about the quality of the instrument that they were buying.

Oh, and also if only the UK magazines supported those builders a little more ...

Dont think anyone has mentioned Clive Rees in Cambridge yet?

Didn't notice anybody mentioning Vanquish (apologies if I missed it)...

Of all of them, Jaden makes my favourite guitars. Mike L and I spent an afternoon at Jaden's workshop (before he moved to Wales) and basically played our way through his entire stock...amazing instruments, all of them. It's worth bearing in mind that he doesn't do custom orders, though; he calls himself "a small guitar manufacturer", in that he has his own set of specific models. There are customisations for each of them, but it's limited to his product lines...go there asking for a Strat-alike, for example, and you'll probably get a short answer

Light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until they make a noise.
