    Look at this 1969 beauty!
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Seems to be alot of these around at the moment advertised as fakes or original. That first one has a sapele body ewwh. and a who knows what, maybe maple neck with a possibly mahogany, more than likely sapele again headstock.

As for the binding, back in '69 you had to pay extra for ageless binding, I beleive it was an option at the time.

And the knobs are all pointing in different directions.

Actually the thing that really annoys me about these is that the flame veneer is always pointing forwards, making the body look indented.

You can import them new for £200. I have actually seen a lot better imports for the money too with toned down binding and filed binding fret ends and a nice quilt and burst which look like they actually are mahogany, these look like the cheap end of the cheapstick.

'Hi there, thank you for your query. When I first bought this guitar the previous owner also had the tan case with pink fluffy lining also the serial number when entered into a serial number database confirms that it is genuine. So I have no reason to believe that it's a copy'.

For that answer alone combined with a low starting bid and no reserve on the listing, the guy deserves more than a slap.

The worrying thing is that it has two bids! Could be schill bids I suppose, just to reel in the gullible?

If the serial shows as genuine it will be difficult to convince ebay it's a fake. And the seller has the protection of good faith. So no buying it and then having him arrested for fraud, and obtaining money by deception.

Still, worth remembering the name, andymotta. Seller of fakes. Pass it along.
