Anyone got/played a Gibson midtown custom?2

Just wondering if anyone has owned or tried one of these. Will it scratch my 335 type itch

And what's the richilite fretboard like

I've just traded one on here, fantastic guitar, I just fancied a change and it wasn't getting used that much. More Les Paul than 335 to my ears but they certainly have some semi characteristics. Lovely fat sound. The richlite board feels really smooth and not 'odd' at all. Fantastic value for money and they look the business.
They are starting to crop up on eBay now for very reasonable money.
I've seen pictures somewhere of a forthcoming Trini Lipez style midtown they looked pretty cool as well.
