Really enjoyed Brutality Will Prevail a few weeks ago in Southampton. Modern hardcore with a doomy edge. Not everyone's cup of tea but remninded me very much of the "old days" of seeing DRI, Cro-Mags etc at The Clarendon.

Those four lads from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA aren't British: Well what do you know?! I still think that, as the original post states the best live act in the UK right now. They played Manchester, with mixed success, this week. They are playing in London, tonight. London is the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. UK is the abbreviation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

If however you were to ask who are the best UK live act right now, Manic Street Preachers.

As for the Manics..I've seen them numerous times over the years, seen them be poor, average, good AND great..right now I'd say they were on top of their form, in terms of live performance (last album was cack)

Some great UK performers I have seen of late who were great (in no particular order)

Iron Maiden. Laugh all you will, still a great live band
KT Tunstall. Awesome.
Billy Bragg.

Alas most of my favourite live bands right now aren't British.
