Yeah but The Whistle Test don't use a Helicon or a Sousaphone.

Read the thread title and wondered why someone had started a thread about my band.

I don't see enough bands these days to have a meaningful answer, although my War of the Worlds tickets arrived today ( not strictly a band I suppose) and for £100 for two seats at the back I'm hoping for bloody good.

    Marillion,

seriously Marillion. Best gigs I have seen, Total commitment, stunning musicianship, great energy between band and fans.

    I saw The Killers once.

They were mediocre shite on a bill with two incredible bands - Josiah and The Dirtbombs.

Gentleman's Pistols are one of the best I've seen in recent years, although I've slowed down my gig going and probably only see 50-100 bands a year now.
AH! I found the edit sig function. Hurrah!!

Lianne La Havas - love that smoky voice, and her Danny.
Nasty, brutish and slightly above average height

    But they're American too!

Was it ever actually stated in the thread that the band had to be British though or is that just the assumption some of us are making...? And it could actually be "best band to see in the UK at the moment" ??
