I want to see the same cherry/black, single-P90 principle applied to a Flying V.
That's interesting and very useful info - I once had a 1968 Tele, light as a feather but very neck heavy. Nice to hear some "dark truth" in the internet.

And good call on the V - that would be something.

The one I had was a 62 and yes I suppose one could accuse it of being slightly neck heavy, but what SG isn't? Certainly the ones I have had all ended up going because I found them to be so. Not quite sure that I see how an SG is uncomfortable being played whilst sat down, but each to their own

If you haven't ever played an SG, you should - they're certainly not for everyone feel-wise.

I hate the feel of them - tiny bodies, massive-feeling necks in comparison, so very neck-heavy. Usually quite light though, that's one good thing about them I guess. The other thing is the "waist" - the narrowest part of the body. Where a Strat is nicely curved, an SG is quite pinched, which detracts from the comfort even more because I can never get them to sit on my leg properly.

I also have some videos of myself playing guitar. Here they are.

Conversely I find them to be very comfortable, standing or sitting, and not particularly neck heavy either...

A friend of mine used to own a '61 SG Junior (still badged 'Les Paul' at the time). I never liked the look of it and found the neck a bit thin & wide, but is sounded ASTONISHING! Fat & powerful, yet really clear. Possibly the all-round best sounding guitar I've ever played...
