I too have a couple of Snarks and an Intelli, the Snarks are better.

Don't leave it on the head if your guitar has a nitro finish though - it will mark.
Interesting. I have a few Crafters, an Eno and just last week bought a Snark. All do a decent job, the Crafters possibly the least stable but also the most unobtrusive.

I've had the Crafters on the head of nitro guitars for months with no apparent ill effect. I'd been preferring the Snark but I think I'll go back to the Crafters for nitro guitars after reading your post.

People talk about Snarks a lot I have seen. And they all say good things about them.

I have an Elevation that I got from Argos ~3 years ago. Never had to replace the battery, display is fantastic and it handles chromatic tuning nicely on guitar and works great on bass too.

I had a KORG which was really nice, but hard to see the display because it doesn't swivel And then someone stepped on it and the clip snapped so it didn't hardly hold on to the guitar anymore never mind tune anything!!

And I recently got this nasty little FZONE thing which doesn't do chromatic tuning, so the guitar has to be b or # of the standard tuning note for it to start to register it!!! Waste of $

Of all 3 I highly recommend the Elevation.

I have the white Korg AW2G. I rate it highly. I have no experience with other clip on tuners but think the Korg is a great product and I've recommended it to friends who've also been happy.

    Spec:
    • Clip-on guitar tuner that attaches directly to any headstock – ideal for acoustic players.
    • Now available in both White (AW-2GWH) and Black (AW-2G).
    • AW-2G Guitar Tuner comes with a clip that's optimized for attaching to a guitar headstock.
    • Double ball-joint allows multi-angle positioning with far greater mobility for the display section.
    • Internal backlight ensures excellent visibility even on a dimly lit stage.
    • Energy-saving Auto mode automatically switches to the low-power Soft mode when no sound is present.
    • Select either the internal mic or the piezo sensor for optimum response.
    • Meter Reverse function allows intuitive tuning from any viewing angle.
    • Calibration function accommodates a variety of concert pitches.
    • Auto Power Off function maximizes the battery life, even if you forget to turn the tuner off.
    • Memory Backup function.

Ive owned a few clip ons in the past, I think the Snark wins/stands out on two counts, price and the little snake arm......much more "flexible" (no pun intended) than a ball/socket joint.

The Korg I have has two ball/socket joints and is very flexible.

Another vote for the Snark - I've got three spread between various guitar bags.

This video compares a few clip on tuners and how well they perform as the battery depletes:

    Qwiktune SNARk

    Haha!

In all seriousness there is another Korg clip on which is not as flexible but is cheaper than the AW2G, called the pitchclip http://www.korg.co.uk/products/tuner..._pitchclip.php

A video comparison of the two Korgs - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nq4TtlP8lw Despite the light shining directly on the AW2G I still find it clear to read, and I prefer design overall.
