yeah as everyone's said he's told you a pretty transparent lie i think.

the ones i've tried have been pretty good (aside from my blue faze, but i think that one is faulty).

I would be willing to give the Anna echo a try but why spend money in china when there are awesome pedal builders in the uk! Ok using Chinese parts but still!

Most of the Mooers are very good indeed, a step up from the Joyo's which are also good (the TS clone is fab!) although some aren't as good, but given the variety they have on the website that is to be expected.

It's easy to forget that 50 odd quid for a brand new pedal is CHEAP. And they exceed all expectations. I loved the cruncher, and the Green mile was excellent too. I've seen a lot of reviews that compare them to pedals retailing for 100 pounds plus, saying they are not as good.

Seems a little harsh I really want to try the trelicopter, maybe santa is feeling generous...

Yeah, the Trelicopter is pretty good. Not brilliant, but for 27 quid...?!

Are there UK pedal builders offering similar products at similar prices?

Methinks you might be comparing apples and oranges here.

yeah. i mean i haven't tried a lot of these pedals, or have maybe given them a cursory try once, through unfamiliar gear. i'm not going to buy a £200 boutique pedal on the offchance i might like it. A £27 pedal, on the other hand...

My little Flex Boost for £28 (via marcmart) is a damn fine pedal..no cheap gimmick here

I think theres a slight distortion of expectations going on here. In terms of sound quality most of the mooers ive tried have been equivilent to boss only miniturized, some better some worse, so if you were going purely off that then 50 quid is pretty fair.

There are a whole bunch of other factors that affect what you feel something is "worth" though.

I read an interesting thread on another forum recently from a pedal builder where somebody wanted to licence him to sell his fancy one of a kind overdrives. The builder was protesting "seriously, theyre just TSs and danelectro circuits with a few componants changed" but put it in a fancy box and people hear it as The Tone.
