    Default Tele bridge humbuckers

Thinking of putting some kind of bucker in my Tele bridge for a different sound. What's good, I'm thinking of a Seymour Duncan little '59 or similar?

I use an IronGear Steel Twin and it's *very* good indeed.

My Fender Kotzen Tele has a DiMarzio Chopper in there as standard which is a blade pickup. Sounds good and is nice and quiet too!

Humbuckers in the bridge position of a Telecaster are a blasphemy and an abomination in the sight of the Great Lord Leo (all praise his Holy Clarenceness) ... confess your evil thoughts and beat yourself soundly with a stick of wilted celery while reciting 'we shall have no coils but single' a hundred times.

If you want a different sound from good, that will do nicely .

If you're not fussed about hum cancelling, listen to the Weasel (even though he is sounding a bit Righteous ) and put in the fattest and most powerful true single coil you can find, like a Duncan Quarter-Pounder, or maybe even one of His .

Okay thanks. I'll check out the Iron Gear and Barden. The guitar is a Bitsa Blackguard with bareknuckles, which are great. I don't own any humbuckers or high output stuff and can't really afford another guitar ATM but just want to get some thick rockin' tones for a while.

But he did use Humbuckers with Music Man and G&L, and the ASAT MFD ceramic pickups were hardly traditional Tele.
I always got the impression Leo Fender didn't think of the early Tele as the end point, rather the beginning of a design that needed constant refinement to reflect players needs.
