History - The Eclipse is part of the storm series produced by Ovation between 1971 and 73. Only a small number of these guitars were produced for a limited time so they are rare nowadays. It seems that once they received a batch of bodies with painting problems, but all they had to refinish them was the Lyrachord they used to mold the round bodies of their acoustic guitars.

This model was made in 1971 and has the superior Hofner 513B blade pickups that weren't on the later versions. The neck is straight, the action is low, it sounds great and it is a joy to play.

It's in good condition, the construction is solid and the paintwork is in good overall condition. The only wear and tear is around the edges in areas where the guitar comes into contact with the body (Where your strumming arms hangs, where it sits on the knee) which shows it has been well played, which is unsurprising as it it a lovely guitar to play.

The previous owner upgraded the pickups to some P-90 style pickups and upgraded the bridge to a bigsby tremolo. I still have the original pickups and bridge aswell as the original pickguard and the tremolo arm and they will be included with the purchase of this guitar

I am struggling to upload photo's to this site so I have linked pictures to this gallery:
