Off to Vegas Tomorrow!
So this time tomorrow I'll be in a big flying tin can on my way to Las Vegas. Any one been? Suggestions on what to do? Should I gamble all my savings?
Slip one on before you slip it up is the most obvious one. And don't go near gambling when pissed.

Seek out the 'teaching tables' in Caesars during the afternoon. Remember half of what they teach you and you'll be placing better bets than most of the other tourists (clue: pretty much half of the craps table is a sucker bet in any given scenario, although I forget the specifics or I'd say them here
Red ones are better.
Blackjack, the only game where the odds aren't in the favour of the house. I've also been recommended Olympic Gardens, although I'm not sure what it is.

Learn some local phrases.
"Are those REAL?" is a good place to start.
Lots of drugs and crash the national police convention.
Poker, the only game where you don't play the house.
I love Vegas. Loads to do without even spending a penny on a gaming table. In no particular order
Watch the fountain show at Bellagio.
Go on the rides at the top of the Stratosphere
See the Fremont Street light show
Take in a show (not sure if it is still playing, but "Love" - circ de soliel set to the Beatles is fantastic, Blue Man Group also good.
Wander round the casinos and be amazed at how over the lot it is (The Venitian and Bellagio are amazing, New York New York and Paris are good, Ceaser's Palace and Luxor are ok).
Get in a car and go to Red Rock Canyon and the Hoover Dam. If you have more time go to Zion National Park or the Grand Canyon. If you have lots of time, go to Death Valley.
