Default Recent gig without 5th member

Done most of the bands gigs for last couple of years with 5 members, but we are really a 4 pc band that adds a 5th member when one is available. Band are happy to go to 4pc for more gigs, as its the 4 core members, but from my point of view, having the 5th member be it on guitar or keys, helps me as I don`t have to solo all night.
I prefer to be the rhythm guitarist that plays a few solo`s ( sort of like Robbie robertson does with THE BAND) and having to solo all night shows up my limitations. Anyway here is first video of the 4pc, and to be honest its the first time we have seen ourselves as a 4pc, so we may want to go back to a 5 !

Must have been a quiet gig if you took your ironing with you...or is that a pedal steel?

Enjoyed that, second solo especially which was really clean.

thats my lap steel, and contrary to video evidence it was quite a busy night. First time we have ever played there.
Funny my old tele always sounds clean, yet I was using the joyo california sound OD pedal and the Excelsior had all 13 watts cranked up .

I meant clean playing rather than clean tone, but it had that as well, nice and punchy.

If my Laney blows up makes me feel could get away with an Excelsior live for a cleanish tone.
