    The section from c. 8m is great re less is more, then the rhythm he chucks in at 8:58 made me laugh out loud in omgzness. Too cool.

    Great vid.

    Nile is one of my absolute idols.
    You can tell when you hear him talk that he is very educated and started as a jazz player.

    I think every guitarist regardless of genre should be taking lessons from this man. No wonder he is voted best guitarist by bass players for many a year.

    Default Rhythm King!

    [QUOTE=monquixote;1390402]Great vid.

    Ditto to that and thanks for posting this great vid.

    Healthwise, I hope he's ok now after his brush with "The Big C". He's the only one left from the talented and fabulous Chic.

    His autobiography is well worth a read, by the way (even if you're not a massive fan). You could argue that his life got *less* interesting after he hit the bigtime!

    A big inspiration to me, learning Le Freak and Savoir faire from mono cassette recordings back in the day, gave me huge respect for the man. His influence on the disco scene is clearly massive.

    The book's on my Christmas list so I look forward to reading that.

    I've played various Chic numbers in function bands over the years but I finally get to play my fave this Thursday at a show, "Thinking of you". Even after all these years of studying the man and song, it still doesn't sound like him or sound quite right

    I'm pleased to see he has fans here

    Not just the disco scene. His influence is far more wide reaching than that.
