Default Old country band I used to be in !

Here is a recording we did just before breaking up about 10 years ago, written by myself and singer.
Everything that could go wrong did on the day. First Bassist rang me and said he could not make session, so I had to play bass, drummer thought as bassist wasn`t there he would not come, so after a gentle request down the phone at him () he turned up, only to play so badly I wiped his drums off the track.
Singer and me were left , so he played acoustic and harmonica, I did Bass, extra acoustic on chorus and electric rhythm and the solo. And I would be interested if anyone could tell me what amp and guitar I used !

Hey, nice work. If you hadn't painted such a disaster scene description I would have thought this was what you were shooting for. Many years ago I had a side project going called "Cowboys on Fire" that had some songs that wanted to sound like this!

Thanks for that, Its quite a long time ago now, and completely different to what the band actually did. we were more of a Bakersfield honky tonk band, sort of BR545 type sound. That song turned out like that as bassist and Drummer cocked up. I quite like it apart from my solo, not used to having to construct a solo round a chord sequence, I tend to just hope for the best and let rip. My lack of vibrato, as I was thinking too much kills it for me.
