    back in the day Matamps were very cheap new, the day being only about 5 or 6 years ago. they seemed to have a sudden jump in about 2008 or 9. I think i paid £549 for my Chino combo straight from the factory.

    Perhaps it's useful to remember that Matamp prices were ex-factory, so rather than referring to them as cheap, I think of their prices as incredibly competitive, and free of all retail markup. The big Matamps I've owned, and this one for sale is a great example of what I mean by "big", easily sat alongside, and effortlessly held their own against other amps I had at 4 times their price.

    Just my twopennethworth.

    Back to this gentleman's sale bump.
