That was from the Enterprise-D [Next Generation] onwards. Kirk's ship didn't have that functionality ... I'm now sounding like a sad Trekkie ..

OMG. Can't wait. Why couldn't they have released it this year??!!! Avengers, TDKR, Skyfall AND Trek 2 in the same year would have made this year even more incredible for movies. Well, for me anyway!

Kirk killed him. From one picture I've seen Benedict has pointy ears ... so I don't think so .. but I've seen other comments from actors claiming otherwise.

There was a suggestion on io9 that Cumberbatch is Khan's son, and/or Joachim, and that Peter Weller (who is in the film but noone knows who he's playing) will be a dying/dead Khan, hence the vengeance.
