Default Kate Bush - December Will Be Magic Again

This is my fave Christmas toon and about the only one I can listen too with the exception of The Waitresses and anything off Elvis's Christmas albums...

But why is it never on any Christmas compilation or indeed not available anywhere else (ok the only place I looked was iTunes and Amazon) as a legal purchaseable mp3? It's such a cracking track IMO why has it sunk without a trace? It's not as if Kate Bush is a little known or little loved artist is it? Even the "vintage" 45s are going for silly money... I have one, but nothing to play it on

Just to remind us all of the glory of Ms Bush:

Loving the "Lionheart"[1] era photo. She's a national treasure, and I'm not particularly Royalist[2] but I think she deserves a damehood.

No idea as far as the downloads go, but I don't think she's ever allowed her stuff on generic compilations.

[1] My favourite of her albums.

    [2] I'm half-Irish.

Good point. I didn't actually realise it wasn't widely available these days. I've got it on one of the two bonus discs from the "This Woman's Work" box set.

There's been talk for years of the rest of the albums being remastered and rereleased with extra tracks, like they did with "Hounds of Love", but like anything in the world of Kate things are rumoured for years and then sometimes sink without trace.

It ain't just compilations, it's not available anywhere (legal) in downloadable form... Must've been subject to some dispute or something... It's all wrong, the world is being deprived of it and being forcefed other lessor Christmas bollox... The kid's will never know... Oh the humanity.

Fortunately I have now managed to obtain a digital mp3 backup, ahem, of the work I already own in vinyl format...

Kate bush is a national treasure. Utterly wonderful music.

Can I recommend Florence and the Machine. She is Kate Bush for the 21st century.

    Er... no.

Kate can sing, and write good songs.
