FS: Patrick Eggle New York Stage - Refurbished - new pics
You may have seen this guitar on eBay in recent weeks (the seller was asking £495 on its last appearance), however, I took it in part exchange for my Vigier Excalibur which means that I am now looking to sell it for a much lower price.
Patrick Eggle guitars were, during the 1990s, Britain's foremost guitar company, building superb top spec boutique guitars in Coventry (before moving to Birmingham). The company is best known for the Berlin, but in order to appeal to a wider audiance they created a range of different model. The New York was the workhorse range and still has a devoted following of player who like the stripped back simplicity.
This example is a New York Stage dating from 1994 (when Patrick was still directly involved with the company) with the following spec:
Maple bolt on neck with Rosewood fingerboard
Tuners are the excellent Sperzels and the original bridge has been upgraded with amuch higher spec Schaller unit with brass saddles
The neck pickup is a mini humbucker and the bridge pickup is a non-original humbucker sized P90
The guitar's in good overall, but used, condition. There are a few small dings on the neck/headstock and some marks and 'worming' on the body.
It comes with a very budget and oversized gigbag.
My plan in the next few days is to give this a very thorough strip, clean and rebuild - plus wire wool and oil the body. Once done, I will post a new set of pictures and confirm what pickups it has.

I really need the cash, but you could try and tempt me. I notice you're in Leeds and Lincs which could work well as I live in Nottingham, but ironically the guitar is currently in Leeds with me for the weekend!
I should add that I'm after a Fender USA Strat (or other qualty Strats considered: Carvin, Warmoth, Blade etc) so if you have one you'd like to trade against the Eggle I'd be very interested - I do have cash to add to the deal.
