Anthony Drennan, I believe he plays with the Corrs now but I have an old Davy Spillane (Irish bagpipe player bloke) album called "Out of the Air" where he is brilliant (Rory Gallagher also a guest on that album, it's outstanding). Wonderful Telecaster tones and playing.

How my young lady friend was enthralled as I told her who he was whilst enduring the programme last night. To be fair, she had heard of 'More Than Words' so knew of him already.

Another vote for George Benson here. Utterly jaw dropping player when he chooses to be. And he plays with 14 gauge strings. Ralf McTell is also very underrated.
